Bringing climate hope to life for a California non-profit.
Parks California, the only statutory non-profit partner to California State Parks, wanted to create a narrative and campaign around their Climate and Stewardship Program. California parks are incredibly vulnerable to the effects of climate change, but that’s why this program exists. From building partnerships across landscapes to incubating and piloting innovative tech to helping to sustain California’s incredible biodiversity, the Climate and Stewardship Program is working to make California parks better for today and tomorrow.
While all of this is great, the story wasn’t being told. After discovery and interviews with everyone from program managers and scientists to advisory board members, I created a brand narrative, campaign, messaging, case for support, and writing guide to build a bigger story around the wonderful work that they’re doing. From raising funds to getting out the message, this new branding was inspiring, engaging, and optimistic, which is one of the main reasons they wanted to work together.

This new narrative is more like a call to action, a hopeful movement that includes everyone when it comes to climate resiliency and stewardship. It’s very California, and it’s also essential in helping parks prepare for tomorrow. Contact me for additional samples.
