Bringing an author’s fabulous world to life.

When NYT-best-selling author Karen Karbo moved to the South of France and started hosting writing retreats, she needed a rebrand that embraced her new life. She also had a new book coming out and was ready for a new website, social media campaign, and promo consulting to support the launch.

I led the project as a part of Launch with Love, the boutique branding consultancy I founded. We wanted to create a verbal and visual identity that was bright and inviting like the South of France, whip-smart and delightful like Karen and her writing, and an online world that embraced the idea of living on your terms like her new book, Yeah, No. Not Happening. The result? Karbohemia.

With a new website and social media campaign, Karen launched her book online during the first pandemic summer. By having a rebrand that fit her mission, vision, and offerings, Karen was able to pivot from a best-selling author and teacher to a best-selling author, teacher, and creative expat living in the South of France, writing about it, and hosting her Come to Your Senses retreats in Collioure. Within a few years, she doubled her retreat sessions, added popular guest authors, and now runs a waitlist, since the retreats sell out almost immediately.
