Creating a secondary brand for Portland’s most vibrant continuing care community.
Terwilliger Plaza, one of Portland's most vibrant independent living facilities, wanted to expand its offerings into home health care. They needed a secondary brand that felt as warm and friendly as the original. And since we created the original brand, we hopped in to help. The result? Ally by Terwilliger Plaza. Collaborative care begins at home.
From the name to the tagline to the categories, I created a verbal identity that inspired a visual one. From Shopping Ally to Home Ally, users could choose their services, à la carte, and create the care they needed. From print to social, web to e-mail campaign, the new brand inspired people to reach out for help – and get it. Ally grew into a beautiful extension of the Terwilliger Plaza brand, and they booked clients within a month after the launch.
For six years, we acted as a two-woman agency for Terwilliger Plaza, delivering everything from a new website to yearly strategies and planning, TV campaigns and videos to social media and monthly e-mail newsletters.
Terwilliger Plaza is one of a handful of self-governed continuing care communities in the nation, which was exciting. It also inspired an anthem spot, “Be the Boss of We.”
